Why do children insist on watching someone else play a video game? It doesn’t make any fucking sense.
I have a steam library with dozens of titles, a homelab with multiple VM’s, a macbook, two xboxes and more! There are probably half a dozen raspberry pi’s scattered around the house. You will never convince me that the tiny humans watch this crap out of a lack of available games.
Furthermore, Dan Middleton (aka DanTDM), Felix Kjellberg (aka PewDiePie), and Seán William McLoughlin (aka JackSepticEye) are gleefully raking in advertising dollars from the mindless content (and I use the term loosely) that our children seem utterly and completely obsessed with.
I don’t have a problem with someone making money. That’s kind of important for day to day life. What I have a problem with, is people making money off of my children by peddling poor behavioral and societal choices packaged up in glittery shiny excrement.
I hope one, or maybe even all three of you sperglord fucktards reads this.
You’re intentionally screwing up the development of hundreds of thousands of children for money. You are simply the most despicable kind of people, exploiting children for your own gain.
Put simply, I hope someone runs you down with a fucking big damned car.
(edit; not really, it’s not cool to wish harm on others)
A serious note about the issue, I understand that it’s primarily a fad, and will be replaced with the next… and I’m at that precious parenting age where the fads children obsess with confuse and annoy me.
Doesn’t mean I don’t get to bitch about it a little.
